OFFICIAL: Nani Seals A Move To The MLS

Orlando City have completed the signing of Nani.

The Major League Soccer club has signed the Portuguese superstar on a free transfer from Sporting Lisbon, with the player signing a three-year contract.

The US-based outfit released an official statement confirming the transfer, which read: “Orlando City SC has agreed to a deal with Portuguese club Sporting CP for the free transfer of four-time Premier League Champion and Portuguese international Nani (Na-NEE).

“Nani joins Orlando City SC on a three-year contract as a Designated Player.”

Speaking about this world-class addition, Orlando City SC EVP of soccer operations Luiz Muzzi admitted: “This is an exciting day for our organization.

“Nani brings tremendous experience to our roster. He’s a dynamic winger with quality abilities to move and cross the ball, impact games and lead the offensive play.”

Having begun his career at Sporting CP, Nani made a name for himself in the footballing world during his decorated 8-year spell at Manchester United.

The wide-man has since featured for the likes of Sporting, Fenerbahce, Valencia, and Lazio, and is now set to move to the United States, where he will look to impress.
