Spanish Star To Commit His Long-Term Future To Manchester United
Manchester United’s present roster is a diverse gathering of footballing talents. Even though the Premier League is designed so that English players and home-grown talent are given a spot of importance at clubs, it is often the international talent that brings in the real spots of charm to the league.
At United, one bond that is quite fond is the Spanish connection. David De Gea, Ander Herrera, and Juan Mata form the trio of Spanish players at the club, who have remained together from a sizable period of time.
Their impact has been invaluable to the club. However, the contracts of all three players are about to expire in the near future, and one of them may be inching closer to renew his deal.
As per The Sun, Ander Herrera is all set to renew his contract with the club. The report states that a deal worth £100,000-a-week for a period of three years is close to being penned down by the Spaniard.

An Old Trafford source is reported to have stated: “Ander is now ready to stay here after talks have been slow originally. The club have made it clear to him they want him to stay. They don’t want him walking away on a free.
He has a young family and is settled in the area. Ander is also really popular with the fans. It won’t be too far different to the wages and deal he is on now. Everything looks to be heading into the right direction.”

Herrera scored the opener in the 2-0 ousting of Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday. The goal was another one in a series of outstanding performances from the midfielder under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Simply put, Ander has been a silent presence in United’s success, and his catalyzing impact looks very likely to continue.
With a series of contract extensions being rounded up, and David De Gea’s expected to be the next one in the pipeline, it will be interesting to see when Solskjaer’s own stay will be extended.
