A Man Of His Words: Fan Gets Solskjaer’s Face Tattooed On His Body
Manchester United may have endured yet another difficult campaign this time around, but it sure had its moments.
Their season did seem to get back on track following the interim appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who led the team on an impressive run during the start of his Old Trafford spell.
However, it was in Paris that Solskjaer and co. reached the pinnacle this season and made history, as they pulled off a sensational comeback to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
After having suffered a 2-0 defeat at home in the first leg, the Mancunians managed to turn the tie around quite spectacularly, as they sealed a 3-2 win at the Parc de Princes to proceed to the quarterfinals of the competition.
The entire Manchester United fanbase experienced sheer ecstasy after having witnessed that monumental comeback, which almost everyone believed to be impossible before the start of the game.
In fact, one fan was so sure of the impossibility, that he promised to get the Norwegian manager’s face tattooed on his body if the Red Devils did manage to win the tie.
About five hours before the game, Tor Henrik Stensland had posted the following on his Twitter: “Should Manchester United turn it around to go further today, I will get the face of Solskjær in a steering wheel. Zero chance.”
Much to his disbelief, however, the English giants did manage to do the unthinkable. And now, Stensland has done the same two months after the historic result, staying true to his word.
His new post on Twitter reads: “Ole’s at the wheel! Before the away game vs PSG, I tweeted that if Man Utd went through I would tattoo Solskjærs face inside a wheel. Well, I’m a man of my words. I went all in. Here’s the result. Enjoy!”
