Barcelona Interested In Wonderkid Angel Gomes
Barcelona are said to be monitoring Manchester United starlet Angel Gomes.
Despite having made his senior debut for the Red Devils back in May 2017, Gomes is yet to start a competitive first-team game for the club.
The England youth international has made just four senior appearances for the Mancunians so far – all from the bench – as he continues to wait for his full debut.
A number of interested parties have noticed the lack of opportunities coming the teenager’s way at Manchester United, and they might just take advantage of his situation come summer.
According to Manchester Evening News, Spanish juggernauts Barcelona are keeping an eye out on Gomes, who is set to enter the final year of his current contract with the Reds.

The 18-year-old spent a majority of the 2018-19 campaign playing for the club’s U19 and U23 side, but that might just change next season, as per manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Back in February itself, the Norwegian gaffer had claimed that Gomes, along with some of his fellow academy graduates, was ready to break into the senior team.
“Angel [Gomes], he’s been successful with England’s Under-17s, with [Jadon] Sancho, [Callum] Hudson-Odoi and [Phil] Foden, so he’s been a big part of that,” Solskjaer had stated. “I’m definitely sure that if Angel gets a chance he’ll do well.”
Will Gomes get that chance next season? And more importantly, will it be at Manchester United?
