Manchester United could sign Tanguy Ndombele as a potential Paul Pogba replacement.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a blockbuster summer transfer to Real Madrid, with the player as well as the club expressing mutual interest in a union.
With the Frenchman likely to head out the Old Trafford exit door along with Ander Herrera, the Mancunian giants have already begun their search for midfield reinforcements.
One name that keeps popping up on the Red Devils’ radar is that of Lyon’s 22-year-old midfield sensation, Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele has supposedly attracted interest from the likes of Inter, Juventus, Manchester City, and PSG. However, Manchester United could be the ones that end up landing the in-demand starlet, claims Yvan Le Mèe, agent of Lyon defender Ferland Mendy.
Speaking about the young talent in a recent interview, Le Mèe revealed (via Calciomercato): “Ndombele is an important midfielder, he has technical and physical skills.
“He is not always consistent but he gives his best in big games. I imagine him at Manchester United because he is a bit like Pogba and a bit like Yaya (Toure).”
Le Mèe then went on to shed light on Pogba’s future prospects, stating: “Ndombele could replace Pogba who, I think, wants to leave the Red Devils.
“Juventus return? Fascinating but hard, in my opinion. Apart from Bonucci, Juve don’t like returns. They could sign Rabiot.”
