What Solskjaer Is Prepared To Do To Convince Paul Pogba To Reject Real Madrid
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is pondering over making Paul Pogba the next Manchester United captain.
Following Antonio Valencia’s departure from Old Trafford, the Red Devils now need to appoint a new permanent captain of the squad.
Ashley Young was initially expected to take over the captaincy duty on a full-time basis. But with Solskjaer looking to sign a new first-choice right-back, the 33-year-old wide-man is likely to be reduced to a role on the bench in the season to come.
Therefore, Ole is now planning on handing over the captain’s role to none other than club record signing and talismanic midfielder, Paul Pogba.

Man United Will Make Move For Lyon Midfielder Tanguy Ndombele If Paul Pogba Leaves
According to ESPN, Pogba becoming captain could be an effort on Solskjaer’s part to convince the 26-year-old to stay put at Manchester United.
The France international has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, with the player as well as Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane eager for this move to succeed.
Pogba was stripped off his captaincy by former manager Jose Mourinho earlier this year, following major disagreements between the two.
But now, by handing the player some additional responsibility, Solskjaer hopes to kill the speculation surrounding Pogba’s future, and reinforce his importance to the squad.
