What Fans Are Saying About Daniel James’ Performance In His Man United Debut
Manchester United were able to secure victory in their first game of the pre-season tour. The scoreline against Perth Glory was 2-0 with Marcus Rashford and James Garner finding themselves on the score-sheet.
The game was a promising affair with the team performing better in the second-half where the attacking intent was more pronounced and the experience of Mata and Pogba showed.
However, in the opening-half United were still incredible up-front and the performance of one man, in particular, has got fans talking.
Daniel James was handed his pre-season debut and the Welshman proved his hype to be accurate. With electric pace up-front, the Red Devils were awarded a much more fluid forward-play when compared to last season.

In particular, his quick movement aided the club in their high-press, a new tactic that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side exhibited in plenty.
Fans were well-pleased with the former Swansea City winger and took to social media to let their pleasure known.
2 minutes in and I’m convinced Dan James is the missing piece in the United jigsaw and I’m sorry to say that we’re winning the Premier League this season

Daniel James has been fouled three times inside 25 minutes, which is an indication of how well he's done. Not required any treatment. #mufc

Daniel James looks good. Has a real sharpness to his play, quick touches and change of pace. Whether he’s on or off the ball, he has clear intent.

Dan James is going to be a complete nightmare to defend against isn’t he? He’s had about 4/5 runs ignored so far but he keeps sitting on the last man and runs in behind, so dangerous. Great pressure out of possession too, setting the tone for the others so far

James was also voted as the Man of the Match and it seems like he is bound to be a fan-favorite at Old Trafford.
Many more games await the Red Devils in their tour and it will give these supporters ample opportunity to catch more glimpses of James.
At 21 years of age, he brings much hope to a side that has lacked attacking intent in the past years.
In the forty-five minutes he was on the pitch, James alone could have created numerous goals if his deft passes had fallen to the right feet. It will be intriguing to see how he is able to take on the experienced backlines in the Premier League.
