Manchester United Will Look To Sign Koulibaly If They Fail To Get Maguire

Manchester United have identified an alternative target for Harry Maguire.

The Red Devils have been in pursuit of Maguire for quite some time now, but they are yet to meet the high valuation set by Leicester City on the star defender.

United have already seen one huge offer turned down by the Foxes, who continue to demand a mammoth £90 million fee for the England international.

The 26-year-old himself is believed to be eager to make the switch to Old Trafford, but the move will only materialise if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co. cough up the required amount.

Now, as per latest reports emerging via the Daily Mail, the Mancunian giants seem to have identified an alternative target for Maguire.

According to the English news outlet, Manchester United will target Napoli superstar Kalidou Koulibaly if they fail to convince Leicester City to part ways with Maguire.

Reports from earlier this month indicated that the Italian outfit had set an £85 million price tag on the Senegalese international, which makes him a cheaper option to pursue as compared to Maguire.

The Serie A star has been on the Reds’ radar for quite some time, and now, the Premier League giants could be set to revisit their old target in order to strengthen their backline for the upcoming campaign.
