Bruno Fernandes is expected to finalise his move to Manchester United next week.

We are now in the final week of the summer transfer window in the Premier League, and Fernandes is yet to complete his switch to Old Trafford despite persistent links all summer.

The Red Devils have evidently been prioritising their pursuit of Harry Maguire, which appears to have finally met a favourable conclusion.

Meanwhile, shock reports from Italy suggest Paulo Dybala may also move to the Theatre of Dreams in a sensational swap deal that would see Romelu Lukaku head to Turin.

Amid these developments, Tottenham Hotspur seem to have joined the race to sign Fernandes, with the playmaker’s next destination still unknown.

But now, according to David Amoyal (via CalciolandPod), a colleague of reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Sporting Lisbon star will indeed be joining Manchester United this summer.

Sporting are all set to face off against Benfica in the Portuguese Super Cup this Sunday. Once that mega encounter is done, Fernandes will bid farewell to the club and finalise his transfer to the 20-time English champions.

If the 24-year-old does arrive at the club alongside Maguire and Dybala, Solskjaer’s unit will indeed become a force to be reckoned with in the season to come.
