Manchester United were able to return to winning ways against Leicester City. The Red Devils won the game 1-0 as Marcus Rashford’s penalty sufficed to put Old Trafford in a jubilant mood after a series of poor games.
However, the side also showed improvements with regard to their performances elsewhere on the pitch.
The defense, in particular, was impeccable in the face of a relentless Leicester attack that fortunately lacked their erstwhile clinical finesse.
Amongst the defenders, it was the contributions of Harry Maguire that once again stood out.
Fans were quick to hail the former Foxes player for his showing on Saturday.
Best possible answer from Maguire to the Leicester fans who booed/abused him prior and during the game. Clean sheet, played very well and completely kept Vardy quiet. His replacement also gave away a penalty on Rashford. Cheers, lads! @LCFC

Love Harry Maguire's attitude on and off the pitch. Proper leader that takes no nonsense. Long may it continue.

The Englishman’s statistics were exceptionally good and many pointed to his work rate to be the reason behind United securing the clean sheet.
This leadership ethos and desire to excel at the back has been missing at Old Trafford for far too long already.
In addition to being a capable passer from the back, he also proved to be a recurrent aerial threat, a feat he struggled at in the past few games.
It was his attitude that was praised as well and many were quick to point out that his signing was an immensely worthwhile investment for the club.
Will his brilliance continue in the games to come? Time will tell.
