Manchester United’s current plight is such that no one can fully rule out Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being given the sack.

While multiple reports exist on the matter, ranging from those that claim that Norwich City game later this month to be the crucial deciding factor to those that suggest that the former striker will enjoy the confidence of the board for at least one more transfer window.

The issue at hand doesn’t seem to be one that can be merely solved through a transfer splurge. Although the Norwegian gaffer initially looked to be the assured replacement to Sir Alex Ferguson that Old Trafford had been long craving for, his predictable attacking ethos and lack of squad depth has handicapped aside who are doubly struggling due to their injury woes.

Now, there are already murmurs of the course of action that will be pursued by potential replacement of the former Molde and Cardiff City boss.

As per the Daily Mail, Massimiliano Allegri who has stepped down as Juventus manager could be a possible name to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer if affairs continue to head in a sour direction.

Further, the gaffer has allegedly promised former United player Patrice Evra that he would be given a prominent backroom position at United if the speculated switch does occur.

If true, this indicates a smart mindset on part of Allegri as Evra would carry with him invaluable winning experience from the glory days of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Further still, the report claims the gaffer to be eager for the partnership as he was already able to secure two titles in Italy with Evra under his tutelage.

Such speculation further puts into question the future of Solskjaer at the club and now one is left to wonder as to what even will make or break the predictable path.
