Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears big on a rebuilding project, even if it costs Manchester United heavily with their prospects this season.

While trying to inject the apt players into the Old Trafford outfit, weeding out the surplus talent, and simultaneously developing the best performers already in the squad could all prove to be a tough ask in a matter of mere months.

Regardless, the upcoming winter transfer window does appear to be one where the Mancunian outfit will spend, with 2020 as a whole being branded as a year of arrivals at the Theatre of Dreams.

Now, one of the starlets being linked to them certainly has an outstanding ambit of comparison.

As per the Sun, Manchester United have been monitoring the progress of Brescia star Sandro Tonali and have been sending scouts to do the needful.

19-year-old Tonali has increasingly been likened to Andrea Pirlo and the Italian’s playing style and hairstyle certainly make the comparison a somewhat valid one.

The report claims an Old Trafford source to have stated: “We have known about Tonali for 18 months but our Italian scouts say he has gone to the next level and United need to get involved – he could be a generational talent.”

Manchester City, AC Milan, Inter Milan, PSG, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid are all linked with the youngster and thus Solskjaer and company may find the affair to be a hard one to execute.

The report cited the club’s intended bid to be in the range of £40 million although the evaluation of the player is considered to be upwards of £50 million.

However, in a further twist, the leadership at Brescia isn’t keen on parting with him and have stated that he is not for sale and if he has to go, it will only be for an obscenely large amount.
