Manchester United To Launch Bid For Erling Haaland In January
Manchester United are preparing a January bid for RB Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland, as per the Times.
The Norwegian has recorded an astronomical 22 goals in 16 appearances for his side this season. With numbers reaching the heights of Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, Haaland has managed to attract interest from Europe’s elites.
One of them is United as they prepare to stabilise their front-three. With at least one player out of position when Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford start together, the need to introduce a out-and-out striker is dire.
And with Romelu Lukaku still not having been replaced, the teenager could prove to he what they’ve been missing since his departure.
It was reported earlier this month that his father Alf-Inge Haaland was spotted at United’s training centres. It seems the former Man City man is already on the lookout for a top club for his son to move and could be gauging out the facilities offered by interested clubs.

Meanwhile, the Mancunians have also been sending scouts to keep tabs on the forward, especially Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s personal and trusted scout. It is believed that the United boss’ ties to Molde could be key in his side’s attempts to lure the Salzburg starlet to Manchester.
The 19-year-old has been under recent speculation regarding a move to sister club RB Leipzig for a slashed price. But a bid in the upper region of £60 million could reportedly be enough to change the tide in the favour of the Premier League giants.
Nevertheless, it seems as if it is no longer a question of if Solskjaer’s side would push for the teenage striker but what they’re willing to pay up for him.
