What Man Utd Fans Are Saying About Rashford’s Performance In The Manchester Derby
The first Manchester derby of the season was a thoroughly enjoyable spectacle with Manchester United emerging supreme over the reigning champions.
Marcus Rashford opened the scoring with a penalty which he won after the VAR ruled the in-box foul to be a valid one. Minutes later, Anthony Martial’s goal put United in a position of great power, heading into the second-half with an impressive 2-0 lead to boast of.
Nicholas Otamendi’s goal in the second period of play did look to engineer City’s comeback but the Red Devils absorbed the pressure well and kept their three points.
Fans are now all praise about the performance of one Red Devil in particular.
Marcus Rashford’s goal cements his position as the side’s top goalscorer this season. The English forward has already netted 13 goals in 21 games and the season isn’t even halfway done.
This campaign looks to be an assured personal record-breaking one for the academy graduate.
Fans took to social media to heap joy over his recent accolades.

Rashford has certainly responded his early criticism quite well, particularly the questions that were asked of him during Martial’s injury when he was toothless as the lone striker.
It has taken many seasons and the inputs of multiple managers for him to develop into this undroppable player and fans will be desperate for more of the same.
Speaking (via Sky) after the game about United’s performance, Rashford showed the precise kind of hunger he has for goals: “We can be a lot more ruthless and score more goals. We’ll work on the positives. I was unlucky with the one I hit the bar and the one I hit first time. They’re the things we can improve on.”
Will Rashford net over 20 goals for United this campaign?
