Roy Keane’s secret visit to the Man United’s Carrington training facility left him utterly disappointed with one of the players.

According to the Mirror, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had invited the Irishman to give a pep talk, as he aimed to boost the morale and motivate his young squad. Keane being the man he is, was apparently very blunt and honest with his views as he spoke.

The former Red Devil seemed to have a lot of honest criticism to offer and put things into perspective by talking about United’s legacy.

The 48-year-old spoke regarding maintaining professional standards, committing to the team’s wellness and the importance of a strong mentality.

However, one of the players among the listeners was said to be bemused by the former Irish international. The said-player slouched on his chair and seemed to be in his own world. The ex-skipper was believed to be very upset over the attitude from the unnamed United star.

On the other hand, it is unknown whether the United legend singled the player out publicly.

A training ground source told the Mirror: “As you’d imagine Roy has strong views on what it takes to be a proper United player and he gave it them straight. He wasn’t impressed with one player who didn’t seem to be all that interested and looked as if he’d rather be somewhere else.

“But for the majority it was a fascinating snapshot into the hunger and desire that drove Roy during his time at the club.”

Nevertheless, Solskjaer believed the meeting to be very successful as majority of the players seemed to enjoy the talk. The former Cardiff City boss was looking to put things into perspective for his young squad, which they did not fail at.
