This week has been an incredible one for Manchester United as the Red Devils have statistically enjoyed their best game-to-game form of the season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has wins over none other than Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola to add to his cap while the fans are still elated over their trumping of Manchester City, a feat that could eventually lead to the Sky Blues being unable to retain the Premier League title.

However, this doesn’t change the fact that United ought to battle for silverware on their own in the seasons to come and will have to invest in world-class talent to do just that.

As per the Sports Bild (via Sports Witness), Germany provides the ideal location for United to expand their transfer radar.

The reports claim that Kai Havertz remains a top target for the Red Devils who are ‘very interested’ in acquiring his services. However, the same is true for scores of other clubs, most prominently Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, and Manchester City.

Havertz has been a recurring name in the recent transfer news, largely due to his emergent brilliance. At just 20 years of age, the midfielder is a stellar purchase for any top club and this may be a deal that Bayern Leverkusen chooses to play out carefully.

While Munich are considered to be strongly interested as well, there are other factors to consider for the struggling German giants.

For Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, Havertz presents himself as an exciting prospect to add to an already youthful side in a position that could do with a world-class injection.

However, it is also reported that a €90 million transfer fee ought to exchange hands in order to facilitate any deal.

It is understood that at the moment none of the interested parties are willing to go that high. As of such, this could be a saga that could stretch out to multiple windows.
