The much awaited clash featuring Manchester United and Newcastle have concluded with the score line displaying 4-1 in favour of the Red Giants. Despite the previous humiliating losses faced by the Mancunian club, this fixture showcased multiple astonishing moments which pleased the Old Trafford faithful.

Disregarding the fact that Anthony Martial performed notably well in the electrifying clash, the prime attraction of the fixture seems to be the introduction of Mason Greenwood in the starting XI.

Moreover, the talented teenager unleashed a fearsome strike which cannoned in off the crossbar in the first half, handing the Red Devils the lead after Martial opened scoring for United.

De Gea – 5

The Spaniard has conceded in his last 14 league games. However, there wasn’t really much he could do as Matty Longstaff’s striking finish opened the scoring in the fixture.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 8

Providing an assist to Marcus Rashford, the defender produced what he was expected to, crossing the ball after finding spaces in the boundaries of the opposition’s defence line.

Victor Lindelof – 6

Improving positioning and overall defence as the game progressed, the Swedish opened a few holes in their own defensive line in the initial moments of the match.

Harry Maguire – 7

Although Joelinton got the better of Maguire in Newcastle’s opener, the England international enhanced himself in the second half.

Luke Shaw – 7

With a month having passed since the player’s return, the 24-year-old is now struggling a bit to get back to his prime form. Nevertheless, he had a prime role in the build up which transitioned into an equaliser for the Mancunians.

Fred – 7

The Brazilian served as a cause for the opposition’s opener, having lost the ball easily in the midfield which was exploited by Newcastle. His performances improved later on.

Scott McTominay – 6

Failing to produce much in the significant fixture, the Scotland international was shown a yellow card in the initial moments for a reckless tackle. Later, an injury saw him being subbed off at half-time.

Mason Greenwood – 8

Presented the Mancunians the lead with a powerful strike which bounced in by hitting the underside of the crossbar.

Andreas Pereira – 7

The youngster contributed in the United’s first goal by setting it up for Martial. He was booked for pulling a foul on Schar.

Marcus Rashford – 8

Made the score line 3-1 with a powerful header. Regardless, he got subbed off on the hour mark.

Anthony Martial – 8.5

Scoring two important goals, the Frenchman grabbed the man of the match title. He too was subbed off to preserve energy.
