What Solskjaer Thought About Luke Shaw When He Became The United Manager
Amidst the scrutinising period of his career, Luke Shaw has finally shook off a few skeptical eyes with a terrific performance against Derby County in Man United’s recent FA Cup tie.
The full-back opened the scoring for his side just past the half hour mark, contributing well to the 3-0 scoreline.
Since his arrival from Southampton back in 2014, the Englishman has been troubled by consecutive spells of injuries which saw him sidelined majority of the time.
Moreover with the physical issues at hand once in a while, the star has always deemed it hard to align to a consistent form down the flanks at Old Trafford.

Regardless, after putting to show his talents last night, the England international attracted praise from Rio Ferdinand, as the pundit labelled him as ‘fantastic’ following the recent fixture.
The influential figure talked about how Shaw has been under scrutiny for such a long while, for which he tagged Jose Mourinho and recurring injuries as reasonable grounds.
The United legend also believes that the England international has started to prove the people wrong who questioned the left-back’s mentality over the time, although it was apparently deserved at times according to him.

Also, the talented defender has upped his game and is operating well in the back three in his recent appearances is what the former player reckoned.
Ferdinand then disclosed what Solskjaer said to him concerning the youngster when he visited the training way earlier.
“I went to the training ground very early on when Ole got the job. One of the first questions I asked him was on how he was going to get the best out of Luke Shaw,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport.
“He was very certain and immediately said, ‘I’ll get the best out of the kid, he’s shown me something already’. He has proven over a period of time that he is getting the best out of him.”
