United appear to be finally realizing their peak form under Solskjaer and the present roster.

The eventual addition of Bruno Fernandes has appeared to fill a much-needed creative gap at the outfit while the impending return of injured stars Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba is bound to only further aid the hopes of the Red Devils.

As such, the Norwegian gaffer is likely already eyeing the spots where more investments can be made in the hope of garnering an all-round holistic roster capable of eyeing top shelf silverware once again.

In this regard, United need only eye a familiar target.

As per the Evening Standard, Manchester United remain the frontrunners in the race to acquire Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

In fact, the source stresses that figures at Dortmund themselves believe that Sancho is headed to Old Trafford.

This is also necessitated by the fact that the Mancunian outfit are willing to make Sancho their all-time most expensive player with a potential transfer fee well eclipsing the £100 million. Prior reports had claimed that Champions League football would be a bare minimum to attract the starlet to the Theatre of Dreams.

Interestingly, this present report also adds that the 20-year-old has interest pending from another English club too, with Chelsea allegedly willing to splash upwards of £120 million for Sancho. In addition, the Bundesliga outfit also ‘anticipate’ an approach from Liverpool, which is, in all probability, an unlikely occurrence given the firepower already at Anfield.

Lastly, Manchester City, Sancho’s boyhood club, also have the ability to match the figure quoted by any potential buyer and bring the forward back to the outfit, although this too is an improbable scenario.

In all likelihood, Solskjaer will power ahead in order to try and secure the world-class right winger he desperately needs to complete his squad.
