Twitter Reacts To Bruno Fernandes’ Inclusion In BBC Team of the Season
Quick impact is rewarded and nothing beats raw talent. That certainly seems to be the case for Bruno Fernandes who has been included in the Premier League’s Team of the Season for 2019/2020. The inclusion comes as a result of a fan’s vote as conducted by the BBC.
Even as fans of the great game are deprived of regular action due to the near global lockdown, they did exercise their favor for the biggest stars of the English game in the poll.
Fernandes became the only Manchester United player to feature in the eleven that was heavily dominated by Liverpool’s players.
What is even more impressive about this inclusion is that Fernandes didn’t get the requisite half a season of playing time that a winter arrival would generally get before being named for such an honor. This alone speaks volumes about the sheer impact he has made at Manchester United.
Twitter was riddled with reactions to his inclusion and rightly so.
Here is your #PremierLeague team of the season.

I obviously don’t agree that Bruno Fernandes should’ve been included in the BBC’s team of the season seeing as he’s only played 5 Premier League games for us, but the fume that it’s caused for rival fans is still pretty funny. 😂💉

Time and time again, Manchester United appear to be reminded about their flaw of not pursuing and sealing a deal for Fernandes in the summer itself when they were extensively linked with the Portuguese midfielder.
Nevertheless, this has been a cameo taste of what he is capable of and needless to say more shall await whenever football resumes.
For other major honors from the poll, Jordan Henderson was voted as the player of the season and Liverpool’s gaffer Jurgen Klopp coming in unsurprisingly as the manager of the season.
The full XI is as follows:
Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Caglar Soyuncu, Andy Robertson, Kevin de Bruyne, Jordan Henderson, Bruno Fernandes, Mohamed Salah, Sergio Aguero, Sadio Mane
