Manchester United To Sell Pereira To Make Room For Donny Van De Beek
Man United have displayed solid signs of restoration ever since the advent of Bruno Fernandes back in January.
Despite the immediate growth of quality in midfield that the club experienced because of the Portuguese star, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still not satisfied with the current squad, as he plans to make a key addition to the midfield in the upcoming transfer window.
Accordingly, one of the most highlighted transfer targets happens to be Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek, a player who was previously marked by Real Madrid. Moreover, as per the Mirror, Manchester United are willing to make room for the transfer by letting go of Andreas Pereira.
With Kai Havertz also being a potential target, the Norwegian manager is reportedly expected to make the crucial choice, as he believes both of them are well suited for the dynamics of the Mancunian side. Although the Old Trafford outfit scouted both of them equally earlier, the recent hit in the economy has virtually ensured that pouncing on the pair together can’t be ideal.
The financial impact along with the health crisis due to Covid-19 was also partly responsible for increasing the likelihood of the Ajax star’s transfer to Old Trafford if they do make a deal, as Real Madrid purportedly backed off from signing the talisman due to the same.
With a decent amount of interest in Pereira among the Premier League clubs, it’s expected that United would not face much of an issue in offloading the player while roping in van de Beek at the same time.
