While Bruno Fernandes’ raw impact on Manchester United may be becoming somewhat of a broken record of talking points, there is no denying the numbers.
The Portuguese star has been instrumental in bringing about this renaissance for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United and the Brighton & Hove Albion win proves that even further.
The 3-0 fixture came courtesy of a goal from Mason Greenwood and two goals from Fernandes, one at the back of a Paul Pogba assist and the second one being the cumulative shot of an excellent piece of counter-attacking.
With that brace, the former Sporting star has put in place a daunting statistic and the numbers speak for themselves.
Since his debut for Manchester United in February, Bruno Fernandes has been involved in more goals than any other player in the Premier League (6 goals, 4 assists) 🧙♂️ pic.twitter.com/Fr9Bk6TXHH

This would also serve as a valid explanation for the several quizzical looks that people were giving when Fernandes was named in a Premier League team of the season lineup during the lockdown, with his few weeks of outing being decried as too small a sample space.
In the games since resumption, the maestro has been outstanding.
What further underscores this is that the prior FA Cup encounter and this game weren’t exactly his best in a United shirt. Despite that, the first one saw him top the charts in crucial contributions and this one has him end the game with two more goals added to his tally.
He was purchased precisely for this creative and offensive knack up-front and the Premier League appears to have found its next big player. Now, fans will be hoping for him to remain consistent as the Red Devils aim to retain their once hallowed spot on the top of English football.
