FIFA 21 Release Date Announced and New Features Outlined
Football enthusiasts across the globe are only just coming to terms with the full reality of the COVID-19 pandemic and the changes it has enforced upon the game. Empty stadiums are beginning to crown new champions and leagues across Europe are slowly beginning to wind down after staggered resumption with Europa and Champions League football awaiting resumption just around the corner.
However, in one realm of the game, it is business as usual as fans look for a virtual respite from these troubling times.
EA Sports have officially revealed a launch date and first look at the upcoming FIFA 21.
The latest edition of the widely-loved franchise is set to release on 9 October 2020. A trailer regarding the same was released on Thursday with more gameplay slated to be released in August.

Enhances features outlined on EA’s website this time around include “intelligent gameplay” via dynamic attacking systems as well as changes made to the career mode to provide the gamer “more control over your team’s rise to the top.”
As for the popular Ultimate Team game mode, players now have the ability to “co-op” with their friends, effectively teaming up together to garner more rewards. The VOLTA mode also received changes and update to create a more immersive street football experience.
PSG youngster Kylian Mbappe is the cover-star for all editions of the game and the trailer included players old and new as narrators, including the likes of Eric Cantona and Erling Haaland.
Speaking about the game, Aaron McHardy, Executive Producer EA SPORTS FIFA, remarked the following in an official press release: “This year, we are bringing fans together through social experiences that elevate both the small-sided experience and the excitement felt on the professional pitch, offering the most authentic and interactive EA SPORTS FIFA experience to date.”
The date will certainly be marked in the calendars of many fans who will be eager to add this to their stay-at-home experience.
