Ronaldo Was Dreaming Of Leaving Juventus For French Giants
Cristiano Ronaldo may be Juventus’ saviour, but his mind is in the French capital.
The Portuguese international found his groove in Italy last season after being outscored and outperformed by Fabio Quagliarella in his debut campaign. Though Ronaldo missed out on the golden boot to Ciro Immobile, his tally of 35 goals and 7 assists is nothing short of world-class numbers.
The forward was also instrumental in Juve’s sucess in Serie A as Maurizio Sarri struggled in his first season back in Italy. Antonio Conte’s rejuvenated Inter side finished just a point behind the league champions, coming very close to ending their years of domestic dominance.
However, it would seem that the Portuguese international is in search of something more yet again. According to France Football, the former Real Madrid man seriously considered a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
This idea was given birth by the Bianconeri’s questionable performance against Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League. It was reported that the winger was unhappy at the team dinner following the match, at which moment the prospect of PSG came up in his mind.
Moreover, if the French outlet were to be believed, the Ballon d’Or winner ‘dreams’ of a move to the Ligue 1 giants.
Furthermore, the Juve talisman is said to possess a good relationship with Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappe, which would make the transition easier.
Nevertheless, this isn’t to say that CR7 is desperate to depart Italy, but is rather looking for his next challenge as he’s known for.
“Cristiano is not dissatisfied, but neither is he happy,” added the same source.
However, the report goes on to say that a departure from Sarri’s side is unlikely given the ongoing pandemic situation.
