Jadon Sancho may hand in a transfer request should Borussia Dortmund force him to stay, reports Sky Sports.

At this point in time, it has become common knowledge that Manchester United are after the Englishman. According to many sources, Sancho is United top-priority in terms of recruitment this summer.

The Germans have slapped a £108 million pricetag on their starlet and have thus far insisted on it being met in order to be convinced to let him go. And so far, according to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils have remained reluctant to match that figure.

The Italian claims that personal terms have already been agreed upon with the winger and all that’s holding back the whole ordeal is the Bundesliga side refusing to lower their demands.

However, not long ago, David Ornstein reported that the negotiations involving the England international, Dortmund, and the Mancunians never reached any advanced stages. The Athletic based journalist went on to report that no personal terms had been reached with the youngster either.

Fans consequently went into disarray due to conflicting reports from two of the most reliable journalists in Europe.

Meanwhile, the rumours have cooled down as of now to a point where Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has publicly stated that the former Manchester City man will undoubtedly not depart this summer.

Nevertheless, the English giants remain strongly interested. And it seems like the 20-year-old matches that enthusiasm and is prepared to hand in a transfer request to force a move out.

This means that the playmaker will force a move like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ousmane Dembele did should the German giants change their minds on offloading him even after their demands are met by the Old Trafford outfit.

At the end of the day, it looks as if this transfer saga will be about persistence and patience.
