Jadon Sancho has high praise for Mason Greenwood.
Manchester United’s pursuit for Jadon Sancho seems to be a lost affair as each day passes by. Borussia Dortmund already expect the English starlet to be part of their roster for at least the season ahead even as reports suggest that the Red Devils are looking alternative options at the wing.
However, there is still the possibility of the deal going through at the German side’s enormous quoted price and until deadline day one can’t be too sure.
However, one thing that Sancho himself seems sure of is England’s future at the international level.
Speaking to Soccer Bible, Sacho opined about his compatriots and who was likely to make the regular squad, stating: “I feel like the England squad has a lot of players who are interesting at the moment. It’s going to be interesting to see who makes the squad.”
He then goes on to name the youngsters who are likely to make a mark and the list included a Manchester United player: “The players we have now are great and the young players that are coming up now like Bukayo Saka, Mason Greenwood – these guys are talented.”
Sancho was long touted to give competition to Greenwood at the right-wing spot if he were to move to Old Trafford. Optimistic supporters were even hoping for Greenwood to eventually take on the striker’s role at the club which would give United the same attacking frontline as the one that England will hope to build.
Sancho goes on to add what he feels these players can achieve:
“It’s interesting to see what they’re doing week in, week out. They’re doing a madness so it’s going to be a very tough decision for Gareth Southgate to make. Again it’s healthy competition and you’ve just got to do your thing and everyone is going to be doing their best. It’s exciting to see.”
