Manchester United are eyeing Real Madrid’s on-loan left-back.

Luke Shaw certainly had a terrific season with the Red Devils last campaign, arguably his first one of great impact in a while. However, as has often been the case with the Englishman, he ended the campaign injured and that continues to put some doubt on his overall fitness and consistency.

While Brandon Williams was an exceptional ascent from the youth academy in that regard, there are many who still feel that Ole Gunnar Solskjær and company must invest in an experienced left-back to fully bolster their options.

As such, a field of interest may have been established.

According to Marca, on-loan Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilón is on the radar of Manchester United and several other clubs.

The 23-year-old had an excellent campaign with Sevilla and United got a first-hand taste of his skill when the Spanish side defeated them in the semi-finals of the Europa League. Reguilónand Julen Lopetegui’s side went on to win that title but the loan spell is over.

However, it is understood that Zinedine Zidane does not see a future for the player at the Bernabeu with Marcelo and Ferland Mendy bossing that spot. As such, a departure was thought to be on the cards with Chelsea being the talked about Premier League destination. Frank Lampard’s acquisition of Ben Chilwell has changed that though.

As such, the report indicates that United are amongst the sides to have taken an interest in the Spaniard with names like Tottenham Hotspur, Juventus, and Inter Milan also touted to grab his signature.

What makes this claim stand out is that the player’s potential sale fee is pegged at around €25 million or so which would certainly be a bargain for a player of his potential.

Should Solskjær go for him or place his trust on the young legs of Williams?
