Van de Beek Completes Medical And Is ‘Buzzing’ To Join Manchester United
Manchester United’s acquisition of Donny van de Beek from Ajax is already underway with more crucial steps being fulfilled, as per reports.
The Red Devils were able to secure the 23-year-old Dutch midfielder after rapid transfer activity over the weekend. A deal of £35.7 million plus add-ons has been agreed to with the player having agreed to a stay until 2025 at Old Trafford.
Now, there are updates about the other peripheral details leading to the official announcement and unveiling.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the necessary paperwork has been agreed to and signed by both clubs involved and that the player’s signing of the same is pending soon. Medical has been conducted for the midfielder as well.
Incidentally, Romano also adds that van de Beek has already spoken directly to Ole Gunnar Solskjær and that he is “buzzing” to join the Red Devils.
Currently, a different manager will oversee the Dutchman as he is plying his trade for country in the Euro Nations League in the days ahead.
When Netherlands’ interim head coach Dwight Lodeweges was earlier quizzed about the possibility of van de Beek leaving training and heading to Manchester to complete the deal, he answered as follows: “No, I think it is almost ready. I think there is still a [medical] inspection to go. It will take place. I am certainly not going to send Donny home, because he wanted to be here himself. That is also important.”
Incredible stuff and United supporters will be keeping a close eye on the Dutch national side and their latest acquisition when they take on Poland on Saturday.
