Man Utd Looking To Complete Two Transfers After Signing Donny van de Beek
Man Utd are aiming to sign two defenders after acquiring Dutch midfielder Donny van de Beek.
United have announced the signing of Donny van de Beek from Ajax. The 23-year-old joins Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side for a fee of €39m, with a further €5m in add-ons, and has signed a five-year contract with an option to extend for a further year.
The Old Trafford faithful are now expecting chief executive Ed Woodward to secure the transfer of Jadon Sancho. However, negotiations for the 20-year-old has stalled due to Dortmund’s £108m price tag for his services.
Accordingly, Man Utd may switch their focus from the England international and attempt to sign other targets.
The Sun report that the Red Devils are close to signing a centre-back and are also interested in a left-back.
The United gaffer is keen to find a partner for Harry Maguire, and a new left-back to rival Luke Shaw.
RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano and AS Monaco’s left-footed youngster Benoit Badiashile have been linked with the side in recent weeks.
Reports in Spain also claim that Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon is on the radar of the Premier League giants.
