Sancho Not Playing Against Bayern – Trying To Push A Transfer To Man Utd
Jadon Sancho may be trying to force an exit from Borussia Dortmund.
Much has been said about the saga of the season over the past few weeks. Most recent developments appeared to dampen spirits of Man Utd supporters. There is still no fixed clarity on whether or not a bid was made by the Red Devils in the first place for it to be rejected by the Bundesliga outfit.
More recent developments have indicated that no matter how much United now wish to pay for the 20-year-old, the time period stipulated by Dortmund has passed and that the window of opportunity for the Premier League outfit to purchase the forward won’t come this summer.
In the midst of all this, the player himself has initiated a curious flurry of speculation by his absence.
Jadon Sancho was absent from Borussia Dortmund’s squad that is slated to face Bayern Munich for Wednesday’s Super Cup tie. While it is being reported that illness is the reason for the absence, according to Dagbladet and other sources, Sancho may be trying to force through an exit from the side.
Incidentally, past claims had indicated that whilst the former Man City-starlet was eager on a transfer to England, he wouldn’t go out of his way to force an exit from his current side.
As such, if this claim is true, having an unhappy exit-seeking player on their hands may just be the factor that drives the higher-up at Dortmund to sanction a sale.
Of course, even in that seemingly improbable scenario, a lot will still hinge on just how much money Man Utd will be willing to pay for the winger.
As such, although the saga has seemed done and dusted, for now, this potential change could still linger on Ed Woodward’s grip on the purse strings.
