Manchester United’s goalless draw against Chelsea was a game that attracted a mixed array of opinions. On the one hand, the defensive performances of both sides were largely hailed. On the other hand, the lack of attacking cogency from the outfits was often brought up.
In a game that ends 0-0 a lot of talking is done about missed chances and opportunities that ought to have been taken. This one was no different with several talking points on offer, including penalties that ought to have been awarded.
However, fans unhappy with the result seemed to have zeroed down on one on-field interaction in particular to illustrate a chemistry issue at Old Trafford.
A video clip from the game has been doing the rounds that shows Luke Shaw not complying with Bruno Fernandes at a crucial point in the game.

I don’t really think the overlap was on for Shaw imo. My issue is an inside run could have dragged Kante with him and opened Bruno for a chance to cross. Or just ask for it to feet? Like he didn’t shape up asking for the ball. Always so hesitant in the final 3rd.

The clip is important because of how much United needed the goal at that point and how the attacking chances were beginning to dry up due to Chelsea’s own attempts.
As such, Shaw came under criticism for not making the run that would have further perplexed the Blues’ backline.
While usually the 25-year-old may be safe in his spot, the summer addition of Alex Telles to the lineup does change things. The Brazilian full-back was an integral part of the emphatic mid-week win that the Red Devils scripted over PSG in the Champions League.
There are certainly arguments to be made that the offensive-minded Telles would be in a much better position to make the most out of the Portuguese midfielder.
As such, it is certainly of interest to know whether or not Ole Gunnar Solskjær will look to incorporate the new signing into his future games.
