Scoring 5 goals whilst conceding none, Manchester United have sealed a dominating win last night in the Champions League fixture against RB Leipzig. Accordingly, the English side have registered their second victory in the group stages, the last one being even more significant, against Paris-Saint Germain.

Three players, namely Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, and Anthony Martial got their names on the scoresheet last night as they cruised through the eventful game. The opener came off the teenager, followed by a hattrick from Rashford, and Martial’s well-converted spot-kick.

Whilst a hattrick by itself is an appreciable feat, the United No.10 has also broken a record by doing so. The Englishman came off the bench in the 63rd minute replacing Greenwood, after which he scored in 74th, 78th, and 90th minute, in just 27 minutes on the field.

The talisman thus broke the previous record in Champions League set by Kylian Mbappe (38 minutes), earning himself the peak position at the moment.

The 22-year-old has been in decent form lately, as the 3 goals from the youngster came after scoring a late winner against PSG a week ago, thus being a crucial cog in United’s Champions League run this time.

However, being just his 20th Champions League appearance last night, the talented forward has still got a lot more to go before the football fanatics go ahead and establish him superior to the likes of Kylian Mbappe.

Furthermore, the Red Devils haven’t quite been able to give the England international much Champions League football action, mostly being out of the competition in recent times.

Nevertheless, things seem to be changing gently under the reign of Solskjær, as the fans expect the club, to showcase the consistency they were always capable of in all major competitions, thus giving the best platform for players like Rashford to bring out their full potential.
