‘Single-handedly Saving Manager’s Job’ – Twitter Reacts To Bruno’s Performance vs Everton
Manchester United come back from a goal down to win 1-3 at Goodison Park as Bruno Fernandes put up a show.
Bernard’s first-half goal was quickly cancelled out by a goal from Fernandes who calmly headed the ball down into the bottom corner thanks to a pin-point cross from Luke Shaw. The Portuguese then quickly followed up with his second — owing a lot to luck. The midfielder had initially played an early ball over the top of the defence for Marcus Rashford, which despite not making any contact ended up at the back of the net as Jordan Pickford laid in wait for Rashford’s header.
The Portuguese international essentially sealed the victory for his side by awarding them the lead in the first half, which he only went on to extend in the second half. It was a performance of the top order, sparking reactions from fans online.
Bruno Fernandes is the first player able to give assist that are so good that you don’t need to touch them. #maestro #assist+++

Games like this one should certainly underline that you can hand the keys of the team over to Bruno Fernandes. When a performance really is needed, he steps up to the plate. Creativity, grit and determination both going forward, but also being ferocious defensively. A leader.

Bruno Fernandes would’ve probably got his hattrick if he took the shot but he decides to give Cavani his first United goal instead. Selfless leader!

You’d almost think Bruno Fernandes is single-handedly keeping his manager in a job at the moment. Some player.

Despite having a relatively quiet second-half, the former Sporting star still delivered by awarding Edinson Cavani his first goal of the season and for the Red Devils, ending the game having been directly involved in all of United’s goals.
The attacking midfielder had suffered a disappointing performance during last week’s defeat against Arsenal, but he has more than made up for that and has done enough to redeem himself.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old’s outing against Everton means that he has now registered 11 goals and assists this season in just 11 appearances, which is an incredible stat for a midfielder. It may not be far-fetched to say the ex-Sampdoria man may have secured Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s job for just a bit longer.
