Bruno Fernandes is rapidly turning into the best signing that Manchester United have made in quite a while. Plenty has been said about the Portuguese’s midfielder’s antics and feats since he joined the side.

While his critics may still peg him on with doubts, the numbers he has put in, especially this campaign, do paint a formidable picture. His overall Premier League figures, in particular, are excellent with his 27 appearances at United seeing 17 goals and 12 assists.

However, in addition to what he can do with the ball, the player is a keen leader too with an infectious attitude and winning mentality. Yet another instance of that was seen during the 6-2 thumping of Leeds United.

Fernandes had scored yet another penalty goal to make it 3-0 in the first-half. Even as the 26-year-old celebrated his feat, he decided to give advice to a teammate.

Snippets of his post-goal celebration show him interrupt in order to give words of advice to Daniel James. Incidentally, James, who was a surprise inclusion into the squad for the derby, clearly made the best of the insights provided as he went on to score, albeit in the second-half when that advice was probably old by then.

What this moment does highlight, however, is just how keen the player was on ensuring that everyone around him also performs at their best.

Back when he was on the verge of joining United, a clip of him angry at being shown a red card went viral. Supporters of the Red Devils took that moment in good stride and were hopeful of the player’s arrival.

Likewise, him selflessly giving up the chance for a hat-trick on multiple occasions and giving pointers to his teammates has become a regular sight.

In what other ways will he create for the roster?
