Manchester United’s high profile meeting with AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16 will see return of some familiar names at Old Trafford.

Former Red Devil Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now the talisman at the San Siro. Despite missing the Europa League final in Stockholm in 2017 due to a serious knee injury, the Swede was one of the key man behind United’s last trophy.

Now, the likes of Harry Maguire and Ibrahimovic’s good friend Eric Bailly will face a daunting task of stopping the 39-year-old in order to win their first silverware in over three years.

Apart from Ibra, Diogo Dalot is also gearing up for a reunion with United. The Portuguese full-back is currently on loan with the Serie A outfit. However, he’s eligible to play against his parent club.

The Jose Mourinho signing will relish the opportunity to make a positive impression against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Although Solskjaer would’ve have hoped for a kinder tie, he’s also looking forward to face Ibrahimovic and Dalot.

“They’re [AC Milan] on the up and have done really well this season. I’ve been so impressed by him, and Diogo [Dalot] we know. He went there to get some experience at a big club and he’s learned a lot,” said the 48-year-old, reacting to the draw.

“He’s [Dalot] played a lot more games this season, kept fit and, hopefully, we can give him some bother!”

The first reunion will take place at Old Trafford on 11th March before the second leg in Milan a week later.
