Fans React To Paul Pogba’s Match-Winning Performance vs Milan
Manchester United were excellent yet again, instilling some European hope into their fan base. The Red Devils secured a 0-1 victory over AC Milan, notching up a crucial away goal via Paul Pogba in the second-half to cancel out the Serie A side’s late equalizer in the 1-1 affair during the Old Trafford leg.
As such, progression into the final eight and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s hope of silverware this season remains intact. However, none of this would have occurred if not for the trusty antics of Pogba.
The Frenchman was out of action since early February and was just getting back from injury. As such, it was evident that he would not start the game.
However, Solskjaer was forced to inject him into the fixture at the half-time whistle after it because evident that the quality on the pitch was not sufficient.

Coming in the place of Marcus Rashford, the former Juventus man took all of three minutes to make his mark, deftly getting the better of Gianluigi Donnarumma in order to net the winner and fill the crucial away-goal deficit.
As such, his cameo 45-minute appearance did it all and fans were ecstatic about it.
Several took to Twitter to express their joy about Pogba’s return and his performance.

Pogba game changer, Barry Maguire putting on a show at the San Siro that Maldini would be proud of

Paul Pogba was so good tonight, by the way. Was only on for 45 minutes, but he scored the decisive goal, held the ball up really well, and single handedly improved everyone’s game around him. Wasn’t a bad introduction considering he’s been out injured for almost 2 months. #mufc.

The man certainly brings in his fair share of criticism and controversy but games like this do show just why United value him so high.
His immediate future is still in some doubt but if he can keep delivering performances like these for the remainder of the season whilst remaining injury-free, a real delight is on the cards.
