Manchester United’s new bid for Jadon Sancho is closer to Borussia Dortmund’s valuation, with an agreement expected over the next few days.
The Red Devils have tabled an improved offer of €85m for the 21-year-old, as per BBC. Although there’s still a chance the latest bid could be rejected by the Bundesliga outfit, the transfer is now being seen as ‘virtually certain’.
Further, BILD are also optimistic regarding the conclusion of the long transfer saga. According to the German outlet, an agreement between the two clubs is very likely in the next few days.
With both English and German sources seemingly on the same page for the first time in two years with respect to Sancho’s future, the deal could be wrapped before England’s last 16 clash in the Euros.
While the Premier League giants allegedly believe they have time on their side to strike a deal with their German counterpart, it’ll be better if they secure Sancho’s signing as soon as possible and shift focus onto other targets.
The Englishman, on the other hand, would be able to brush off transfer rumours, and focus on getting more game-time under Gareth Southgate. He was only given seven minutes off the bench in England’s final group game.
