How Marcus Rashford Reacted To Raphael Varane’s Transfer To United
Manchester United have announced an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Raphael Varane. Once medical and player terms are finalised, the Frenchman’s unveiling will take place.
However, the announcement on its own was enough to elicit reactions from fans, as well as a certain United player.
Before Jadon Sancho was announced as a Red Devil, Marcus Rashford seemingly ‘announced’ his transfer with a one-word response ‘Yes x’ on Twitter. Though he later insisted the tweet did not come from him.
Nevertheless, it didn’t stop fans to request the same type of announcement – albeit in French – from the forward when it started to look that Varane’s move to Old Trafford was all but done.
As such, once the Premier League giants released statement confirming their agreement with Los Blancos, Rashford was quick to jokingly tweet ‘Can we please stop spamming my posts now, oui oui’.
With United now reported to be interested in Saul Niguez, the Englishman might next be expected to announce the Atletico Madrid midfielder’s arrival with a ‘Yes x’ in Spanish if any significant progress would be made.
Meanwhile, Varane is expected to say goodbye to his Real team-mates and fly to Manchester later in the week. But he will be officially unveiled as United player only next week.
As for Rashford, how quickly he’ll be able to play alongside Varane and Sancho will depend on his pending shoulder surgery.
