‘Agent Bruno Fernandes’ Reacts To Cristiano Ronaldo’s Transfer To United

Bruno Fernandes’ welcome message has hinted at some involvement in Cristiano Ronaldo deciding to sign for Manchester United.

United emerged as suitors for the Portuguese when everything indicated he would sign for arch-rivals Manchester City. But since entering the fray, the Red Devils put all their efforts in making sure they can bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Soon after City pulled out it seemed like a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’ the veteran would make a comeback to Manchester. It did not take them too long to make an official bid to Juventus and reach an agreement. Before the fans could process the turnaround, the deal was already officially announced.

As it is one of the biggest transfers of recent times, fans and players reacted in amusing fashions. But Fernandes specifically reacted to the announcement in a way that hinted he was involved in convincing his fellow compatriot to join him in Manchester.

The midfielder – referring to himself as ‘Agent Bruno’ – teased the fans as he welcomed his new teammate.

 

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also confirmed the former Sampdoria man was indeed speaking with the Portugal skipper earlier. While talking about if he would welcome his former teammate back, the Norwegian responded in a warm and welcoming way while also revealing their star midfielder’s involvement.

“We’ve always had a good communication,” Solskjaer explained. “I know Bruno has been talking to him as well. He knows what we feel about him. If he was ever going to move from Juventus, he knows that we’re here.”

The 26-year-old was not able to supply the forward as well as he would have wanted during the Euros but now he will have the opportunity to do it at club level.
