Mason Greenwood has started the new campaign right where he left off at the end of last season. Registering 3 goals in 3 games so far, he is on joint-second when it comes to goal tally in the Premier League so far – which is impressive for a teenager.

Moreover, what makes the forward special is the fact that he always seems to finish despite taking his chances in difficult positions. Even at a young age, the England international is mature when it comes to putting the ball behind the keeper.

According to Paul Pogba, the youngster is – in very literal context – the best finisher he has had trained with so far.

“Mason I think he’s more left-footed, he dribbles more with his left but to shoot he shoots with both,” the Frenchman told Stadium Astro.

“His finishing is unreal, he’s the best finisher I’ve seen, trained with.

“He’s the youngest but he’s just unbelievable and I hope he score more goals and improve and win titles.

“He’s very young and very talented and I want to push him [to do] even better.”

Praise like that does not come through hollow words. For a world champion – who has played with the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Karim Benzema, and the biggest young talent in the world, Kylian Mbappe – to say something like that unironically is quite an achievement.

One may not agree with the former Juventus man, but the fact that such praise is hailed on such a young player can only be a positive sign of what is to come. The 19-year-old is clearly one of the best talents in England as of now and Manchester United will want to nurture him into a superstar.
