Marcus Rashford is nearing a return to action, having been pictured in training away from the main group alongside Amad.
The duo remain unavailable for Manchester United’s Champions League clash against Villarreal, but if things go as planned, Rashford will be available for the European night outing against Atalanta post the international break.
The Telegraph’s James Ducker claims the Englishman could be included in the squad to face Leicester City during the weekend just ahead of Atalanta’s visit to Old Trafford on October 20th.
Rashford himself confirmed he’s set for professional consultation on Friday to get the ‘green light’ to step up his recovery and start contact training again.
United will reportedly also hold a behind closed doors friendly during international fixtures to help the 23-year-old regain full fitness.
His return will be a huge boost for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with the Red Devils lacking serious pace and width on the left-flank.
Paul Pogba has been the manager’s go to option in that position in the opening games, but despite the Frenchman’s creative prowess, United have struggled to break tight defences, as evident in their back to back defeats to West Ham and Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Solskjaer has confirmed that Harry Maguire will be out for the next ‘few weeks’ as he recovers from a calf injury he suffered over the weekend.
