“Most 90th-Min Winning Goals In PL History” – Twitter Reacts To Rashford’s Late Winner vs West Ham
Marcus Rashford bagged a winner for Manchester United seconds from full-time to beat West Ham 1-0 at Old Trafford.
Jesse Lingard was the match-winner right at the depth for the Red Devils against West Ham in their last meeting in September.
This time, Rashford, another academy graduate, stepped up to write a similar script, and sealed all three points in a crucial top four Premier League clash.
Ralf Rangnick’s men dominated the possession and defended well at home, but failed to open the Hammer’s defence until the dying seconds. The German tactician looked to his bench to change things up and introduced Rashford, followed by Anthony Martial and Edinson Cavani.
His bold decision to go all for it against David Moyes’ men worked, as all three subs combined to find the late goal and send Old Trafford, as well as social media, wild.

Couldn’t think of a better person to get a winner after everything that’s happened lately

Do you know what makes that 93rd minute winner from Marcus Rashford that little bit sweeter? Knowing that Edinson Cavani was arguably offside meaning the majority will spend their evenings moaning about it on social media.

4 – Marcus Rashford has scored a 90th-minute winning goal for the fourth time in the Premier League, at least twice as many as any other Man Utd player. In fact, no player has ever scored more such winners in the competition's history. Mentality. pic.twitter.com/OVbt1CJF9t

The Englishman, who has come under intense criticism for his recent form, really needed this, as well as Martial, who did well to pick Cavani.
The Uruguayan then sent a controlled cross to set up Rashford – the Premier League’s most clutch player after the 90th minute. No player has scored more match winning goals in stoppage time in the competition’s history than the 24-year-old.
Both the club and the player now have to use this moment as motivation to go on a consistent run.
