Marcus Rashford’s situation is being monitored by Europe’s biggest clubs amid uncertainty over his future at Manchester United.

Ever since it emerged the Englishman was considering his future at Old Trafford his phone hasn’t stopped ringing, as per the Manchester Evening News.

Barcelona appear to be first in line, and have already expressed their interest in signing Rashford. The Catalan outfit are looking for a long-term attacker, with Ousmane Dembele expected to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Barca have signed three forwards from the Premier League in the recent months. Former United winger Memphis Depay also joined the club last summer.

It is understood Barcelona also contacted Rashford’s representatives before the United academy graduate renewed his contract in July 2019.

Shockingly, Liverpool are also reported to be keeping an eye on events in Manchester, and have made it known they are admirers of the England international.

It’s highly unlikely United would ever allow the 24-year-old to join their fierce rivals, but a move abroad remains a real possibility, especially if United’s next manager prefers to continue playing Jadon Sancho on the left-flank.

However, it is believed ‘deep down’ Rashford does not want to leave his boyhood club. Instead, recent developments could lead to United opening discussions over a new long-term contract.
