Ten Hag Has Already Decided His First Signing If He Becomes Man United Manager
Erik ten Hag to Manchester United is gathering momentum, with the Premier League outfit thought to be making significant progress in their process to appoint a new manager.
United formally interviewed the Ajax manager last Monday to understand his vision for the Red Devils. They are impressed by the way Ten Hag has rebuilt his side twice during his five-year spell at Ajax.
As per Sky Sports, sources close to Ten Hag and Ajax have suggested that United have been informally gathering information regarding the financial element should they pick the Dutch tactician as their next manager. Although the club insist there’s no frontrunner at the moment.
Meanwhile, it appears Ten Hag is also making plans for his next job. The 52-year-old would be interested in signing Antony if he moves to Old Trafford this summer, the Telegraph have reported.
The Brazil international, who has been one of the best players for the Eredivisie leaders this season, is ready to make a step up and impress at a higher level.
Nevertheless, it’s still early to completely rule out Mauricio Pochettino from the managerial race. And his arrival might hinder Antony’s chances of joining United, as the Argentine is likely to have a list of his own preferred targets.
