Sebastian Haller is the latest Ajax player to be linked with a move to Manchester United after it was announced Erik ten Hag is set to take charge of the Premier League club at the end of the season.

United’s frontline is an area of concern for the incoming manager. Edinson Cavani’s departure is all but confirmed, and the club are also open to let Anthony Martial leave on a permanent basis, leaving 37-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo as the only striker at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are expected to dip into the transfer market for a young frontman, and Ten Hag’s arrival could tempt them to target Haller this summer.

The former Eintracht Frankfurt forward has revived his career at the Amsterdam club after a disappointing spell with West Ham. His 11 goals in the Champions League this season have started to once again attract Europe’s biggest clubs for his services.

The Ajax goal machine, who only joined Ten Hag’s side in January 2021, could be following the Dutchman’s steps this summer. As per the Sun, the 27-year-old has two years left on his contract and would cost £35m.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah have enjoyed great success in England after initially struggling to settle into the Premier League. And Haller’s performances in the Champions League have shown he’s perfectly capable of doing the same.
