“I’ll do anything” – Defender Keen To Return To United And Play Under Erik Ten Hag
Brandon Williams is determined to make it at Manchester United after spending the 2021/22 season on loan at Norwich City.
The Englishman will return to United in the summer following a fruitful loan spell at Norwich. After initially struggling to get minutes under former boss Daniel Farke, Williams managed to win Dean Smith’s trust, and has so far made 24 league appearances for the Canaries.
He was named Norwich’s Player of the Month in January, and also grabbed headlines with his solid showing against Liverpool in February.
Now, the 21-year-old defender is targeting to get into Erik ten Hag’s plans for the next season.
“What I want to do next year is play for Manchester United at left back and that’s my job,” he told Norwich’s matchday programme.
“That’s what I’m determined to do because it’s my life and I’ll do anything for that.”
As per ESPN, Alex Telles and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are amongst the players for whom United are willing to listen to offers.
If the duo depart, there will be a space for a new full-back or two in Ten Hag’s squad. Williams has proved he’s suitable for Premier League football, and his versatility makes him a good cover option for either flank. But whether he’s fit to play in the Dutch tactician’s system remains to be seen.
