PL Club Considering To Sign United Defender – Ten Hag Wants To Replace Him
Aaron Wan-Bissaka is amongst the players Crystal Palace are considering to sign in the summer to take Patrick Vieira’s side to next level after an encouraging maiden campaign under the French manager.
Nathaniel Clyne and Joel Ward are both on the wrong side of 30s, and Nathan Ferguson’s transfer from West Brom hasn’t worked out as planned due to his injury issues.
As such, Palace are considering to make a move for their academy graduate, who joined Manchester United in a £50m transfer in 2019. As per BBC, a loan deal seems a more likely option because of Wan-Bissaka’s high-wages.
Erik ten Hag’s focus remains on ensuring a third Eredivisie title in four years at Ajax, meaning he has not yet had the chance to properly analyse the players at Carrington.
However, the Mirror reported late in April that the Dutchman wants a new right-back to replace Wan-Bissaka.
United attempted to sign Noussair Mazraoui on a free ahead of Bayern Munich, and were prepared to offer the Ajax right-back a more lucrative contract than the German champions. But Mazraoui prefers to move to Bayern and challenge for the Bundesliga title.
Further, Ten Hag is also interested in bringing in a new left-back to challenge Luke Shaw for his place in United’s team next season.
