Inter are understood to be open to let Denzel Dumfries depart this summer.

The Serie A outfit sold Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain last season, and have already allowed Ivan Perisic to depart on a free transfer. The Croatian wing-back has joined former Inter manager Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.

As per Italian outlet Calciomercato (via SportWitness), in order to find money to ‘keep other players’ in the team, Inter are willing to sacrifice another full-back this summer.

Dumfries is ‘on the market’ and is available for around €40m. The Netherlands international moved to Italy from PSV to replace Hakimi in the summer of 2021.

His impressive performance under Simone Inzaghi has caught the eye of Manchester United, with the Red Devils looking to find Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s replacement. United will listen to offers for the Englishman this summer, as he isn’t in Erik ten Hag’s plans due to his lack of contribution going forward.

Dumfries, on the other hand, has been an important attacking outlet for Inter, having contributed to nine goals in Serie A last season.

Bayern Munich are also mentioned among the interested clubs, but considering they’ve already signed former Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui, United are likely to have a clear run at signing Dumfries if Ten Hag is really keen on signing him.
