United Star Agrees To Join Champions League Giants – Ten Hag Has Picked His Replacement
Erik ten Hag is tasked with dealing a number of high profile exits in his early days of Manchester United reign.
The Red Devils have announced the departures of Nemanja Matic, Edinson Cavani, and Paul Pogba, among others. It is understood Ten Hag didn’t make any particular effort to keep any of the departing names, as he attempts to build a squad capable of executing his possession-based pressing system.
Pogba, whose United contract runs out on June 30, is the biggest name of all set for a move away from Old Trafford.
The Frenchman has agreed to return to Juventus for a second stint. As per Romeo Agresti, the finishing touches to his Juve contract have been applied, and the announcement regarding the transfer will be made in July.
His exit will leave a notable void in United’s midfield. But the new boss at the helm has already picked an ideal replacement to fill that vacancy.

Ten Hag’s eyes are firmly set on reuniting with Frenkie de Jong. He sees the Barcelona midfielder as the perfect midfielder for his style of football, having previously worked with him at Ajax.
The former Ajax man has launched a charm offensive to allure De Jong to join his rebuild. United are also working on signing the 25-year-old, but are prepared to walk away should Barca refuse to lower their demands.
