Man United To Make Late Move For Barcelona Star After Exit Of Their Own Player
Man United’s focus has now switched to trimming their squad before the end of the window, as one high-profile exit could allow them to make another signing for Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils have announced an agreement with Ajax for Antony and are also close to securing Martin Dubravka from Newcastle. At the moment, the back up goalkeeper is being seen as the last of their incomings. But things could change if they manage to offload Aaron Wan-Bisska.
According to Jonas Hen Shrag, if the Englishman’s departure is sealed in next few hours, there’s a possibility that United will pursue Sergino Dest.
West Ham and Crystal Palace are interested in Wan-Bissaka, who has become United’s second choice right-back behind Diogo Dalot.
Barcelona, who earlier in the summer agreed a transfer fee for Frenkie de Jong’s switch to Old Trafford, are looking to push Dest out of Xavi’s squad and would be open to listen to United’s offer for the 21-year-old.
Dest previously played and impressed under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, but has fell out of favour under Xavi at Camp Nou. The Barca manager has left the right-back out of his match day squad for three straight LaLiga fixtures.
